Has anyone ever gotten any irritation down in the anus area from taking finasteride. There seems to have been some itchiness down there after taking it, but who knows, it could be an internal hemmerhoid or something. I've never bothered to get it checked out, but wasn't sure if it could be some kind of prostate problem.

I wouldn't think you'd have itching/irritation from prostate problems.

Ever had this happen before? It's not exactly uncommon to have irritation now and then.

I've consistently gotten the irritation off and on for that past year or so. I probably should get it checked out by a doctor but i never bothered to do so. If it's an internal hemmorhoid, would it go away on it's own after awhile? How can I know if it's pin worms?

Do you see any blood on your toilet paper after you wipe your ***?
Does the pain get stronger when you are taking a dump?

If the answer is yes it's probably hemerroids.

Only once in awhile I'll see blood on the toilet paper, but most of the time I don't. And no, the pain doesn't get stronger when I'm taking a dump.

Could also be a rash caused by sweating. If you're scratching this regularly then some blood would be expected from time to time... Perhaps you have a degree of systemic absorption, are you getting hairier down there?

Wow, never had actually heard of something like this from finasteride. How itchy is it? Is like unbearable or is just something in passing that isn't too bad? You should probably go to a doctor if you're bleeding.
