Pls Help! Why Did finasteride Get Me Fever?

Hello everyone, recently I finally decided to take low doses of finasteride (1mg cut into 4 pieces=0.25mg/d) partly because the topical spironolactone was out. After one week I felt fatigue, dry throat and even higher body temperature and such feeling didn't go away through time. I had to stop taking finasteride and the fever cooled down in the next few days. Then I started taking finasteride again and the fever, dry throat came back. Now i don't know what to do. Was finasteride the reason that got me so uncomfortable? The dose was so low and it seems that very few people got fever because of finasteride. By the way, I was also taking 500mg of curcumin but i don't think curcumin would get me fever. Any idea, guys? Your comments and suggestion may help me with my next move.

Highly unlikely, but nothings impossible with drugs.

More likely the finasteride is tainted, or perhaps fake? Even real drugs may become contaminated by mold or other organisms that could cause you to become sick. Possible you have a bad reaction to some of the inactive ingredients. Could all be a coincidence as well.

All of the above are more likely in my opinion than a reaction to the active finasteride in the pills.

Yes bro its because of finastride,finasteride sometimes make me feel like that ,my suggestion is to increase your dose to 1 mg and stay on it for a few weeks and see if you feel better then reduce the dose gradually

Yes bro its because of finastride,finasteride sometimes make me feel like that ,my suggestion is to increase your dose to 1 mg and stay on it for a few weeks and see if you feel better then reduce the dose gradually

Do you mean that you felt like fever when taking finasteride and then the fever disappered when the body got used to finasteride? But I don't think I can stand 1mg since I'm already sensitive to 0.25mg. The fever really sucks.

Youll get used to it eventually and the fever go away but probably with relapses. Youre not tolerating it well enough, try dutasteride for a while and see if it is better tolerated. Im on dutasteride and the sideeffects are less than finasteride so far, somewhat watery seemen and testicle pain that isnt even pain on dutasteride, more like a vague discomfort. (Same as fever testicle pain is temporary on dutasteride and finasteride and will subside almost completely after some weeks).

Yes ,i get fever feel energy less and runny nose exactly like i have a flu ,but when my body gets used to it the fever go away,i tell 1 mg as the body gets used to it faster,dont be scared of it,many side effects go away by time

Same here, no Dutt, i bought prescription free Avodart in Manila during my Philippine/HongKong vacation. The sideeffects are like nothing and the vague initial testicle discomfort already disappeared and didnt come back after taking more Dutt. The sexual side effect is upwards, very nice. But most important again: YOU, you are NOT tolerating Finn well, you should think carefully before continuing it. I had visible regrowth on Finn and isnt hating on it, but if it gave me 3 weeks fever i probably would, and for a good reason.
