Hi guys thanks for taking the time to read this um im 16 and throughout the passed 5 months i would say ive lost about 45 - 60% of the hair on the top of my head. ive been taking propecia for a month now and havent really had any side affects and have also been using nizoral. Im abit nervous about using minoxidil because i already hate the way my hair looks and i really dont want to have to go through the sheds. Well my question is if i start taking minoxidil after a year or how ever long it takes to thicken my hair up if i stop using minoxidil and continue using propecia and nizoral will my hair maintain or do i have continue using minoxidil.

ive attached some older photos of my hair after i get a haircut this week ill upload some newer ones.

My sympathies dude, it's a bad age to be going through what your are.

Any hair you gain that's solely due to minoxidil, will be dependent upon the continued use of minoxidil.

The rest is now just opinion .....

As you're only one month into using propecia,I'd see what that can do first (maybe give it five more months), before adding minoxidil even if it feels like you want to throw everything you can at the problem, no point commiting to years of minoxidil use if you don't have to.

yeah maybe not worth using minoxidil yet if you're on that regimen and are comfortable with it. See how it goes.

I do believe that daily use of ketoconazole (such as in Nizoral) or miconazole is in fact better than less often, so that's something to bear in mind. I have been using nizoral every 1-2 days and may use miconazole on my off days... o_O

16 is generally considered too young to be on Propecia. Did your doctor prescribe it?

16 is way to young to do finasteride! DHT is a vital hormone you need growing up.
The is a study that showed that finasteride on growing rats/mice or the misq smt animal showed that they grew smaller dick. Just saying...

If i where you id consider RU58841 once at night and nizoral or another keto shampoo daily to every second day. If no improvement after 6 - 8 months reconsider the regimen and add/remove stuff.

Hars hairloss for your age though :thumbdown2:

Oh yeah, crap I didn't see you were only 16!

I agree with the two posters above me - don't play with your hormones at 16.

hey thanks for the advice guys yeah my doctor did prescribe it to me well i havent really experienced much of the side affects i know its not good to be taking it at my age but if you saw how thick my hair was just 5 months ago n how quickly its thinned out you would probably do the same thing at my age. So would you guys recommend i start using Min with the propecia and nizoral im currently using or like hoppi said wait it out n see how it goes? because i really want my f*** hair back.

thanks.
