Hello all!
I posted here about 2 years ago asking about my crown now I have to ask again about my hairline. It is making me feel horrible about myself, I obsess over it. My hair feels thin looks thin to me as well. I do have terrible anxiety so Could this be leading to my hairloss? I started to take a vitamin B complex (including biotin) I’m nervous to start anything because side effects. Please help me figure out what’s up with my hair!

You seem to have some thinning and some loss of density. At the moment it doesn't look bad at all. Most of the forum here would trade places with you (hairwise). The thing that makes the difference is how fast it's progressing. If it just creeps over the next 20 years then you will be fine for a loong time. If it really speeds up that's a different story.

Thanks for answering me, I feel like over the past few weeks it has been thinning faster! (Maybe I’m just paying it even more attention) is there anything I can do about it? Would taking any type of vitamins help or natural remedies?

If you have male pattern baldness, vitamins rarely do real difference depending on the intensity of hair loss. Vitamins are best absorbed from healthy and balanced diets.

First of all you should find out if you really have hair loss and what's the cause of it. Different causes, different approaches. There several treatment that can halt or even reverse hair loss to some degree but each has its own ups and downs plus risks.

Diagnose first, get informed and then act!

Absolutely. It's not even a question and the only real thing you can take is finasteride, minoxidil or duta.

I saw two of your posts today for the first time and they're both extremely dumb and deceiving. Stop posting, you're doing more harm than good.
On topic, you've got male pattern baldness , how you're going to tackle it is up to you. The main option is finasteride, but you should read about its side effects first and consider whether it's worth taking.

The classic horse shoe pattern. Miniaturized hairs in the hairline.
Your crown looks good in these pictures by the way.

I was hoping it was just a mature hairline, so besides doing finasteride (which I don’t like the side effects) is that it am I done? How long will it take till it is gone?

No one can tell how long it's going to take. Finasteride is sadly the only thing that actually works. If there were alternatives, people wouldn't risk taking a drug that gives such severe side effects

Okay thank you, I’m in the barber shops now so I can get it cut to see what it looks like, I think this will help put my mind at a little bit of ease.

Thank you for your appreciation. You pretty much said the same thing just less words. Everyone is free to post and you are free to read or not. Best to you!

I have to say I like @Manochoice reply much better lol but I’m going to go to a Dr. to get this checked out so I know what to do from here! Thank you for the reply @Northface32
Thanks. The thing is hollow11 may be very right regarding male pattern baldness and statistics would rather back that (because of being man, approaching 30, the overall state of your hair and the way it's thinning etc.) But I would always advice you to first check in with a specialist and make sure. Once identified the cause then you can see which treatment you want to start. male pattern baldness has fee true symptom alleviators. Many will tell to "pop it like a pill" but make sure you do your homework and be informed before any such decisions. Also, just to make it clear, I am not on Fina. At this time I just am not convinced but I am pretty sure it's highly effective.

finasteride or dutasteride are the only two effective medications for slowing/treating male pattern baldness, but only if you respond and the risks are considerable and the commitment is life long. You absolutely should be sure you need it before you take either. Even if you have male pattern baldness it doesn’t progress the same way or the same rate for everyone. A doctor will be able to help you determine that, but be sure you are keep an eye on it...take pictures every 3 months or so and you’ll be able to see for yourself. Best of luck!

Thank you all who answered, honestly I just feel better that I can sit back and sort of just accept it and be happy I have what I have for now. Went to my barber he basically told me I’m over reacting gave me a nice cut, and I’m happy with it! But faster years of worrying about it and keeping it a secret I put it out there. Ive if it’s to a bunch of strangers lol
