Please help, my hair is smelly!

Argh, Ive just noticed a few days ago and today I asked my parents and they confirmed. My hair is smelling Nothing better to dim my chances with the opposite sex even more.
I dont really know how to describe the smell in english, but it must be like lard, fatty oils or something. Might it be caused by an oily scalp?
Has anyone come across such thing? Please comment!

No spironolactone, just lee's 500.

im pretty sensitive to smells; i dont even like the smell of the rogaine foam. what i do is simply wet my hands and run them through my hair for a little bit (while trying not to touch my scalp). then i dry it off with a towel. it helps a bit with the smell

Hey Ian, how long have you been using Lee's 500? Did you switch from Rogaine to that and did you notice a shed after making the switch?

As for the smelly hair issue, how often do you wash it? I would think that would simply do the trick? Is the smell really that putrid or are people exaggerating a bit, I mean I use the 500 product and it doesn't smell too bad to me at all :dunno: , is that the only thing you're putting on your head?

The smell has nothing to do with Lee's 500, it's just easier to notice when my scalp is more oily. And it's not putrid.
