Please Help Me Figure Out If Im Balding

I have noticed that in the past five months my hair on only one side has started thinning or receding, the other side looks normal, here is the side in question and below it is the other side.

Also why is it that only one side is thinning?


I also should mention that I have had a high hairline my entire life.

To say you are balding would be a big exaggeration. At most you have only slight thinning at one temple, which is quite common. In your case, it's not even that noticeable. I would suggest you keep an eye on it. Take pics again in a few months and compare to these.

Are there any products I can use to get that hair back? I was thinking about using a dermaroller and some rogain in that area.

Looks fine, I wouldn't even say you've got even the slightest bit of recession from those pics. No ones hairline is completely symmetrical, just like no ones face is fully symmetrical either, it's likely that it has always been like that and you're only just noticing it.

You hair looks OK to me, I'd say you only need to start worrying when your hairline starts forming an M shape.

How it used to look, keep in mind that both sides ever looked the same, this side always had that point and the other side didn't.

Yeah I'm not seeing much of a difference between temples lol. Maybe your hairline has receded like a cm in the last 4 years, if at all. You're fine for now man, maybe update in a year.

Your somewhere between nw2-3 but your density is still really good, that's why it's so hard to tell you have hairloss.

I'd expect members of this bored to be able to identify your loss, guess they aren't true Norwood spotters.
