For about 5 months ive been losing an above average amount of hair, I saw a derm and he wasnt sure...but heres the thing, I've had an itchy flaking scalp and eyebrows, im also losing a significant amount of eyebrow hair...ive also got a few little red bumps on my scalp...i can now see the top of my scalp in harsh light which I know is a result of all the hair falling out...so does this sound like diffuse alopecia? Or some kind of skin condition related hair loss?
also im a 17 yr old male

I have had the same thing for the last 1.5 years. I loose tons of hairs and have lost 60% of my eyebrows. I have been to 7 derms, 3 endos, 2 hair specialists, no one knows anything. I have itchy burning scalp and flakey eyebrows. They eyebrows I loose dont grow back and when they do they are very thin and fall out again. good luck, loosing eyebrows is worse than hair, although hair is horrible also.

Man Ive used every fning shampoo, cream, ect, ect. I have some sort of steroid drops I put on my eyebrows now. seems to help with the redness and flaking. Asked about long term steroid use and no one seems to think its a problem. It isnt helping my eyebrows from falling out. somethings is really wrong. I am slight hypothyridic and take synthroid very low dose, docs said im fine. I have had antibodies tests, t3, t4, I can go on and on and on. My scalp burns after I shower or sweat, but show no signs of dermatitis on my scalp, I do have slight folliculitus. who knows
