Please Help! I’m 19, College Student, Where Am I On Norwood Scale? Would I Look Ok Bald/buzz?

I’m in college and almost 20. I had no real hair problems until October 2017, and now my hair looks like this. My dad has male pattern baldness but it skips a generation on his side, and as for my moms side my grandpa has great hair and my uncle is bald from receeding hairline and just decided to shave it off.
I know it’s bad and I’m seeing my dermo soon for acne and I’ll ask about this too.
Since I’m still young, would you guys recommend trying finasteride and minoxidil? My dad tried the stuff when he was younger in the late 90s and he suffered side effects, is that inheritable? This all happened in a matter of 9 months, so I’m guessing it’s crazy aggressive and I’m freaking out. I’m also 5’6 and short af so I’m kinda scared to go with a buzz or go bald. It’s rather concealable now with long hair but i don’t what to do.

While you may have noticed it in the past 9 months your hair loss probably started a couple of years ago.

I would definitely try Finasteride and Minoxidil. It does not make any sense why you haven't at least started Minoxidil yet. You can always do lower dosages or Finasteride if you get side effects at 1mg/day. I use .5mg/day and do not get side effects. There is very little difference between the two doses.

You need to buy Minoxidil+Nizoral tomorrow. If you need help with coverage look into toppik which is great.

You're a Norwood 3 with diffuse thinning. Get on finasteride asap. I would also strongly suggest minoxidil.

Your hair is salvageable. The wet pics look bad but wet hair is not an accurate depiction. You just cannot be like most guys and start treatments when they realize the hair loss is not going to get better on it's own and they already lost 70% of their hair.

Propecia is dangerous stuff that can have serious side effects. Unlikely to return your hair to pre-balding thickness.
