Please Help: Bald Spot Or Double Crown Cowlick? Pictures Included.

I am 25 years old, Asian.

I've had this problem since I was a kid, and I am getting worried.

Looks like you're balding where your cowlick used to be, could be wrong though, see what some other members say.

Looks normal to me, I have very similar hair. Asian hair tend to stick out and not lie down, like it defies gravity. It might create the illusion as in your picture, especially if you cut your hair this short. But go to your local doctor if you are really concerned! Better safe than sorry.

I mean your crown is pretty visible but you said it's looked like that since you were a kid, right? If not I would've said you were balding.

I've had it since I can remember (as a kid).

Temples have not receded.

I'm am paranoid as heck.

Edit: Just went through my childhood pictures...I've had the same thing (hasn't grown in size) since I was 5-7 years old.

Well if you had it since you were a kid, I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

You can make a photo every 3 months or so to see if there is any change and if it there is, you can try minoxidil and finasteride.

Well then you've answered your own question. Lol

I will say in my own case I started noticing thinning of the crown and receding temples at 25 and waited 2 years before doing anything. And even though I've had some success with the finasteride+minoxidil combo looking back it would've been better for me to have started treatment sooner than later.
