My father is 60 and as began to thin a little on top, but hes still got hair all over, though ever since he was 30, hes had a very high hairline/high temples...

I am 27 years old and have always had high temples, but feel as though my hair on top is getting thinner? please help:

Well thanks, do you think I will just have high temples like my father then? I've used about 5 bottles of Nizoral since March. Find the stuff quiet good.

in the second pic, it looks like you are thinning on the top and crown. maybe my eyes are deceiving me but have you noticed that too, subboy? you definitely are a Norwood 2 with a mature hairline. You may get no worse than that. I just can't tell if it's the lighting in that second pic or if you are thinning on top.

in the first pic, it looks that yes, you will eventually lose your hair from the fron to the back, but it looks still far away tough. but right now id be more worried about you losing your eyes and your moustache.

guys, if you are dropping hair during the day like on the pillow, in the shower, combing / fixing hair, you are losing it, 100+ a day, it's like night and day with me when i was losing, then before i started losing, to back with successful treatment

i know most people are in denial about it, i was too at first, but its not that tough to tell... seriously

Looks like a high hairline. Maybe a norwood 2. Thats about what I have. But your hair looks good.

i'd suggest quarter propecia 0.25mg which should block about 40% of DHT in hair follicles and does about 60% of what 1mg would do. u don't seem that bad yet but to stop u from receding further and considering your genetics, u should go on finasteride. if u think u have been losing more hair than usual lately and would like to block more DHT, think about 0.5mg of finasteride or 1mg. by the way, u can get these amounts by splitting a propecia (or finpecia) pill in quarters or halves.

i personally don´t see thinning in the second pic. Some scalp is visible, but to me it looks normal. I wish I had your density. I would rather worry about your receding hair line. To me you look almost like a Norwood 2.5. Imo you should definetly take some treatments. Either finasteride or minoxidil for the hairline if you don´t want pills. Good luck and keep us updated about your decision.

Thank you for replying - even when I was 15, I had VERY high temples/hairline.

The top 3 pics are of me.... and the bottom picture is my father who is in his 60's. If I did NOT use any treatment.... Do you think I will end up with hair like his? or would you say I am going to bold SOON?

When did your father start balding? Your hair loss looks quite similiar since his crown looks pretty good, too (for a man in his sixties I mean as far as I can see on this pic).

He had a full head of hair until he was about 55, BUT he's always had very high temples ever since he was in his 20's. Now he is 62 and he's going thinner on top, he's still got all of his hair around his crown.

My grandfather (on my mums side) also had very high forehead all of his life.

Sounds like you have a good chance for you to maintain what you have got for a long time even without treatments. But keep in mind that genetics aren´t that simple. The final decision is up to you.

subboy, your hair looks great. you have a high hairline but it doesnt 'seem' like you are thinnng.

perhaps you should go see a derm/Doctor/specialist and see what they think as well.

not just some random psycho's on the internet :D

i think he's fine, dont start meds until you know yourself your thinning. and i think you need reassurance right now that your hair looks very thick.

The one thing I believe is that if you think you are losing your hair. you are. No one else will realize as quickly as you in most cases. Other people will enable you by telling you it looks fine. But believe yourself. You know better than anyone.
