horseshoe?? Are you sure its Telogen Effluvium? It still could be male pattern baldness. The horseshoe is a male pattern baldness thing. I'm not a big fan of the whole Telogen Effluvium thing. Should you be losing your hair? Is it in your genes? If it IS Telogen Effluvium..youre one lucky guy, take comfort in knowing that it will grow back and stop dweeling on it because im pretty sure that cant help things. Good luck!

Well I dont know your story but if you see a happy horseshoe smiling at you in the mirror, then thats male pattern baldness buddy.

I tend to think most doctors and derms dont know jack sh*t about male pattern baldness, so going to one and having them tell you its "T.E." could just be giving you false hope.

I would look at family history, thinning pattern of your hair, shed rate, and really reconsider whether its just "T.E." or male pattern baldness

hes thinning at the crown...male pattern baldness

hes thinning on the sides...T.E...

IMO his t.e brought on his male pattern baldness early.

truking my friend..you are seriously wasting time. your derm wasnt wrong in stating it was T.E...but i dont believe he totally 'ruled out' male pattern baldness either.

you still cant tell the loss and you're lucky cause you have no hairline recession as such. get yourself proscar and nizoral and some multivitamins..and relax ...

start off on a low dose to try and prevent sides + shed....1 mg every other day like i pm'd you would be 90% as effective as 1 mg everyday..and you could use 1 pill for 8 days...

what kind of medication does one get on to fight T.E.? Just wondering, because Ive never heard about the actual method towards recovery of T.E. just 'my doctor told me I have Telogen Effluvium and not to worry.' Yeah, but what do you do to make yourself not worry about it?

There is no real treatment for Telogen Effluvium as hair will grow back on its own. However i have read that rogaine can be used to kick start the regrowth i havent bothered with that.I have just took multi vitamins biotin brewers yeast and msm.And nizoral and i have seen results with regrowth.Im hopefully in the early stages of recovery.

That I remember, Telogen Effluvium symptoms show up with diffuse thinning. male pattern baldness follows more of a pattern. Telogen Effluvium tends to hit all over the scalp and thins everywhere. The good news is Telogen Effluvium lasts only for a season while male pattern baldness last for a lifetime:( But thankfully there are ways to keep male pattern baldness from taking completely over.
