Pictures of my hairline.

These pictures are from about 6-9 months ago, taken on webcam, but show about where I'm at right now, maybe slightly worse. The fuzz you can see in these pictures is no longer there, but more is sprouting in about the same places (aside from the very frontal hairline region, that's not moving forward anymore, but I don't need it to). My question is, after 18+ months on Propecia, should I be using minoxidil on my temples? How bad do you think my hairline really is and what Norwood would you rate me? Thanks for the responses.

i'd say your probabaly Norwood 2.5 or 3 at most.

is your hair thick where you have hair or diffuse thinning?

you and i actually have similar hair lines... my hair is just lighter really.

how do you style your hair when it's as long as you keep yours? I can't imagine how it looks without you pulling it back.

oh.. and I know minoxidil doesnet work as well on the front.. hell, nothing works as well on the front.

but i started using it on my hair line and temples. I dont see anything wrong with it.. that's where it appears to be the worst.

My hair is very thick all over where I have hair, roughly equal density on top as I have at the back. I'm contemplating just getting a hair transplant to make my hairline appear more natural, if not perfect. My hairline hasn't really moved in about 18 months, so what could the harm be, and how expensive could it really be to fill in those areas...

well just be careful with hair transplant's because remember. once you start. your going to keep going back.

if your just going to do the 'strip' method I don't think it'd cost more than 5k or so to fill in where you have missing hair.

but just remember, and this is very important. if you start using up your doner hair and you keep losing hair.. it's going to look HORRIBLE...

and also expensive. I've seen people on here that have had up to 6 hair transplants!!!

think about it!!?~ 6 X $$??? = a lot

i havent seen too many people that are satisfied with just one.. unless it's some sort of mega session of like 5000 grafts.

I don't have it AS long right now, I just sorta mess it up with some sh*t and get the front to fall over the temples, makes my hairline look straighter.

i suggest that you give up on todays treatment and come back after something more effective is on the market.
I know its not nice to say but I 'm a N1.50 myself and giving it up becouse i never even seen 1 proof that total reverse is possible, i have not EVEN see a good reverse of hairloss for the hairline. And all that drugs and topicals.. If them not kill you or make youu grow strange things here and there on the body they make you spend alot on money on something that just buy you 1 more year out of 10 with more hair..
Just my opinions man,, but if somebody can change my opionon i be verry happy becouse I f.....hate this MAN thing myself... I rather beed out of my *** 1 week a month instead......

Dude, come on, have you been to the success stories forum? Stop spouting stupid sh*t like this and scaring people away from treatment. My regimen cost like 20 f*****g dollars a month. And you know what? ITS f*****g WORKING!!! So shut the f*** up. GODDAMN i hate these negative nellies.

You don't want to treat your hairloss? Good for you. Keep your horrid advice to yourself.

You silly little boy. If you had even done the slightest bit of research on this forum you would have discovered that there are more stories posted on this forum about successful hairloss reversal than you can shake a stick at. And youre a NW1.5 and already giving up? What the hell are you doing on this forum? Maybe you wont regrow all that hair youve lost ( ) receeding to a...... gasp...... NW1.5, but you could realistically maintain at this level and halt the progression of male pattern baldness. Many people on this forum would do anything to go back in time and start treatments back when they were a NW1.5. I wish I had. Your in a lucky position, you have the best possible chance of treating your male pattern baldness successfully, but instead your just going to whine like a spoilt little girl because todays treatments arent "effective" enough for you.

U tell me what todo and if it work i give a hell of much respect
Until i see something that works for real i preserve my right to maintain free of speech

Propecia = 83% success rate. If you take Propecia you have a very very good chance of stopping and reversing hairloss. And thats before youve started other treatments such as Nizoral shampoo.
Propecia = 2% incidence of sides, which are TEMPORARY and DO NOT include depression or other related mental health issues.

do you really belive that!!
what are your success with it?

Yes I really believe that. As most people who undertook some research on the subject would. I havent been using Propecia long enough to decide whether it is helping me or not. It can take 12 months before results are seen.

I would have to agree with hairwegoagain. Hairloss is probably the least of fight 4 hairlosse's problems.

Ok.. so its actually now a N2, who knows.. Anyway it look not nice on my head.
I got that type of loss in form of receeding at the sides. Make u look like and 90 year old kung fu master while am 26..And it has gone from N1.5 - N2.0 in one month...
So is somebody in here saying that if i just swallow som P`s am gonna be fine and regrow or at least ticken up what i`ve got??

And to you Brittannia.. if u not know if it works yet why u so sure about it works for you based on some folish trial that u cant trust at all.. If its only 2% sideeffects then why so many here quit it becouse of if not libido problems they get spots all over, some gyno or just more sheding.. Somethig completely wrong here
I wish 2 there was soem good medecine for this but until somebody can prove it works i dought it can make any significiant different..

let me talk to somebody that can say it has done bether than just maintaining and still have both libido and not womans breasts?
Saying am just a "silly little boy" is just to easy and just prove that people in here just stand up for there own decission going on treatment, but that does not mean it works.. Again, show me and i belive u!!!

But in the 5-10 years future i be shocked if they still cant find anything to regrow and maintain for at leaast 10-20 years

Lets be honest on our self even if the real life hurts more..
It is bether to fail while beliving the facts than truly belive in the lies that we make for our self..... just some philosopical sh*t!!!

I can't really bear trying to read that rubbish, try typing with your hands rather than your feet, but I dont understand your philosophy on waiting for something else to come along. WE'RE ALL WAITING! The idea is to maintain what we have now, maybe regrow a little, until there IS a cure.

You realize your hair is going to get continually worse without treatment right? With finasteride, minoxidil, and nizoral you stand an EXCELLENT chance of stopping or slowing your hairloss and a pretty decent shot at some regrowth.

You're just being ridiculous. Plus, treatments are cheap if you know where to look.
