The key to identifying the extent of miniaturisation is not in their length (as hair are in different growth cycles).
The difference lies in:
1. Thickness
2. Pigmentation
3. Growth rate
Any forum members have more info on this? Lately I've been worried that my sides (humps) are starting to diffuse / miniaturize. I notice dudes with no hair loss who keep their hair short show more scalp at the humps though - is the hair there naturally less thick? I do pull tests in this area and am dismayed when I am able to pull out hair, and that the hair is thin looking. Also as far as sides dropping, is there a normal time frame when this occurs? I don't mean chronological age, but where in the line of hair loss events - temple recession, loss at the crown, gradual thinning all over the top, etc. - that the sides would drop/thin. I still have a lot of diffused hair on top - wouldn't all of that go before my humps started to thin?
