Hey all, suffering from hair loss. Have a family history of male pattern baldness. Could this be DUPA or a thyroid problem or just regular male pattern baldness? P.S. Later pics I have put a concealer on.

I have this too. It started right after finasteride and spironolactone. I believe such thinning is a sign of low levels of androgens and estrogens.

I think this has been going on for a while for me. I just started finasteride last week. What do you recommend I do?

Do you think increasing testosterone would help?

in my case personally it would, im about 10 x worse than you, very thin and wavy/ wispy hairs an sh*t, it wasnt like that, t level of 13nmol are equivalnt to that of a70 year old apparently however according to GP's its "normal" only until it hits 9nmol they consider t replacement therapy

which i woudnt want to do anyway

however its down to my lifestyle, smoking/ drining, eating garbage, no exercise high stress, poor sleep which was me in a nutshell - all decreases t levels, and i feel like garbage!

i was unemployed for about three months and just stuck at a good strength training program noticed improvements in my body, and subsequently my hair which defo looked fuller, however currently employed and four months later struggling to keep up to the same routine,

recetly got a hair transplant though, so will be incorporating a full lifestyle change no more messing around!

That's what's up, good luck on your journey man! Also, are you currently on medication?
