I can't say anything about "girls, besides they probably prefer to be called women", but I can tell you that my experience with men, is that they don't notice.
I do disclose that I am wearing... if/when it leads to something physical/intimate.
Also, once someone sees my Instagram... it's pretty obvious I didn't grow 14" of hair, overnight.
If you can keep them OUT of your hair... then you probably won't need to say anything. I would suggest that once the relationship gets serious you will need to "fess up".
