Hey guys,
I just wanted to survey for some advice. I took finasteride for about a month in October 2018. I'm 22. I lost morning erections the morning right after I took the first pill but decided to stick it out to see if sides would go away, as some suggest on this forum. Eventually, I got full out ED and stopped the drug. For a week or so after stopping, I was back to normal, but then everything went seriously downhill. Morning erections still absent, ED, penis shrinkage when flaccid and erect, severe genital numbness, no libido, no tone to my penis, dilated veins even when flaccid, etc all persist and I'm nearing the 3 month mark since stopping. Labs are fine. I have 2 doctors following my case and they are intrigued but have read the literature and definitely know about it. I just wanted to see if anyone here was hit by something similar and eventually recovered after a few months, and if so, what they did if anything.
I am not interested in starting a debate between people who experienced sides vs those who take it without a problem. I am also not interested in coming here and warning people who will eventually try it anyways, because I was one of them. However, I am a medical student who did his research before this drug, spoke to my teachers about it, and didn't believe any of this until it happened. What I am experiencing is very real and horrifying and I am just looking for some support. Thanks.
