My doctor won't give me on because he says it's not meant for hairloss treatment. I tried giving him the cut the pill up and take it as I would propecia explanation but he didn't want to hear it. Is there any place I can get a prescription online? And do pharmacies take these online prescriptions? I used to be on the generic stuff, and I'd like to be on the legit proscar now.. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

United pharmacies. Products from MERC are usually authentic. You can be sure its the real thing. However i will say there's a reason for your doctor not prescribing you proscar. Its not used for hairloss but for male prostate enlargement. Proscar is a little more potent than propecia by 5%. It might not make much difference but it could be the difference between getting side effects and not getting side effects. You see one of DHT's fundemental roles is to preserve and develop masculine characteristics so blocking too much of it is probably not a good idea. Dht is what prevents things such as gyno (boobs) from developing on us men. The FDA does not permit the use proscar for hairloss for this reason. Some might argue that propecia is only prescribed instead of proscar as a guidline just to be safe and that it isnt really that dangerous using proscar instead of propecia for hairloss. I should mention however that the active ingrediant finestride (the ingredient that helps stop your hairloss) in both products is not evenly distributed across the pills so taking a quater of one of these pill might not be a quarter but half or an 8th of finestride for example. This might be another reason why your doctor wont prescribe you the drug. Take care with your decision.
I would switch doctors, there is no reason not to give you a Proscar prescription, its not like there are any serious sides from even taking the 5mg pills.
I have never had a problem with either of the 2 doctors I have had in the past months in getting a Proscar prescription. It seems your like your doctor is not in tune with treating hair loss economically, and I'd seek out one that is.
