Perhaps the worst DUPA ever... I feel truly hopeless

Literally makes me not want to be in society. It like this on the other side too. Back and top are thinning too and hair is at around a Norwood 3. Tried finasteride, dutasteride, and minoxidil and nothing worked. All blood tests were perfect.

8 years, it's gotten a bit worse since then, the density looks way worse when my hair is short. Why is there an "AI generated" watermark on your photo?

If you look at my mutant ear, I was pulling my ears back with my fingers and I photoshopped them out because I have really short fingers and they make me self conscious

Anyway, this is how my hair loss looked in 2019, as you can see, the density on the sides has been horrible for years.

Under flash, you can really see how bad the thinning is, I took this a few weeks ago after a long day, my hair was probably a bit greasy here. The temples are also lacking some density.

I get times where I get confused if I'm making progress or not because lighting and how greasy my hair is can drastically change the difference of how my hair loss looks.

I took this photo today in regular indoor lighting after washing and conditioning my hair, it barely looks like I have hair loss even though I do. Diffuse thinning is weird.

The part that stands out to me here isn't the hair, it's you saying you feel hopeless and don't want to be around people. That matters far more than any of this, and hair loss really can hit you that hard mentally, so don't write it off as you being dramatic. Please talk to someone about that side of it, a GP, a therapist, or even just someone you trust. The despair is worth dealing with on its own, separate from your scalp.

On the hair itself, try not to diagnose yourself as the worst DUPA ever from a phone photo in low light. That isn't something anyone can call from a picture, and what looks catastrophic to you can read very differently under proper magnification with someone who knows hair loss well. Get a dermatologist who's good with hair, ideally one used to your hair type, to look properly before you write the whole thing off.

It's a really rough spot, and I'm not going to pretend the meds working wouldn't have been the easier road. But where you are now, the right move is a proper assessment and looking after your head, not more guessing on your own. You're not as alone in this as it feels right now.
