Perennial folligen snoop!

My folligen just arrived the other day. I laughed when I first applied it, and noticed that my skin had taken on a very noticeable green hue. (Jesus, the things we do to sort our hair out!) Looking like a Shrek an obvious no no, so one of the first things I did was to dilute it. I like how it smells though - very medicinal; good vibes.

I might try folligen or tricomin if Dr P's Prox-N doesn't cut it for me.

However this is unlikely, as Proctor pioneered the use of cps for hairloss, and holds the patents to which he thinks are the best ones. Tricomin and Folligen came out after and have to use other cps. Also, Prox-N has another possible growth stimulant (NANO) and i think its probably cheaper than tricomin.

Actually Procyte holds the patent on GHK copper peptides, and Pickart has a patent pending on his "second generation" of copper peptides.

Proxiphen is far more expensive than Folligen.

Well Dr Proctor was the first to use cps for hairloss, and holds patents to a number of them, the ones that, he states, "after 16 years of experience appear to be the most effective."

I was talking about Prox-N, which contains copper peptides, SODases and NANO growth stimulators.

I use Proxiphen, but don't confuse that with copper peptides. They are two different products, do different things, and may even work synergistically. I use both.

Proxiphen also contains copper peptides, and at higher levels than the copper peptides in Prox-N.

iamnaked, how much Folligen do you apply to your scalp? For some reason I am not getting that green hue, and I am applying Folligen full strength.

Eh? Maybe you're very tanned or something then. Folligen is *really* green, almost like food colouring in that respect. Perhaps you were sold something else?

That could be the reason. I definitley checked the bottle and it does say Procerin, I mean Folligen! :)

Yeah you are right, I am tanned since I am Indian. But I got very fair skin complexion. So I was just surprised why I had no green hue.

It seems there is a lot of users who complain about shedding when initiating Folligen treatment.

Hmm... I want to order it, but am scared about the increase in shedding... Something that I'd like to avoid.

Also, how long does an 8oz. bottle of Folligen last? What if I diluate it?

I'm low on funds, and I think that Folligen would be the best bet for 1) lasting the longest, 2) providing good results.

Can anyone chime in on this?

Isn't CP serum more suited for combating wrinkles? Whats the difference between it and folligen/tricomin?

Guys, Folligen is strong stuff. Here is what Dr. Pickart recommends (this was told to me in an email)

-Use Folligen every OTHER day. This seems to produce better results as opposed to every day use.

-Don't use too much! 1 ml or 2 at the most is plenty. If you're using the spray, then 6-8 sprays is sufficient.

-Following with Emu oil after application helps with absorption.

Remember that Folligen won't be your savior, but it IS a useful adjunct treatment to the Big 3.

I think Folligen is snake oil.

Do you really believe you can get the right combinatin of nutrients and oxygen to your hair by using a topical, and feed it 24 hours? Flipping upside down won't help your hair. People tried it. Folligen has minoxidil in it, the only good ingredient. Research Eucapil. It looks similar to Flutamide. Do a google image search and see the similarity, and how one side of the molecule looks like one side of a DHT molecule and a testosterone molecule. Again, google image search. You may need to learn what those atoms are and how those formulas translate into 3D, but it is very self explanatory. You can see how these molecules compete for androgen receptors. Unlike Flutamide and RU 588something, Eucapil can't go systemic.

Folligen doesn't have minoxidil in it. Where did you get that idea?

Yeah dude. You've got to do more homework before you start preaching about this and that.

Why are you preaching for people to start Eucapil? For one thing, RU is not systematically absorbed, for another, have you ever heard of spironolactone? Finally, and most importantly, fluridil has no independent studies showing it works as an antiandrogen.

Hmmm that sounds pretty good to me... every other day would be nice...

Im using prox-n, and have most faith in this cp, but i only use it at the thinning temples at the front, and think i'd like something for my whole scalp. Using folligen every other day would hardly strain the wallet, either.

Which folligen does everyone use? The lotion?

so skinbiology says less is more with CP. thanks for the info. i'll read into that and plan my dose.

I ordered proxen-N from dr proctor because it has copper peptides and many other things. I hope it is the ideal dose, or I'll just use it every other day.

as for those of you stopping Nizoral and switching to copper peptides, i must point out that while both are supposed to get rid of inflamation or itchiness, they also are complimentary in that nizoral is a weak anti-antrogen, and copper peptides are growth stimulant, like minoxidil, but complimentary even to it. So you should use both, not one or the other, unless you are using topical spironolactone, in which case you can drop the nizoral.

finasteride does take care of most the androgens, but any help you can give it is good. And 1% nizoral is cheap and regrows as much as the 2% does, which is about as much as 2% minoxidil. not impressive, but it is extra.

my internet explorer keeps closing half the time I send a post. this why I copy my posts into note pad before sending. I guess this time it actually went through, and I did not check, so that is why i double posted.

Yeah use the prox-n everyday, not every other day. Its not as concentrated in general as Folligen, but it uses different copper peptides, the ones Dr P's experience (the pioneer of CPs for hairloss) has shown him to be the best.

If cost was no element, I'd actually use prox-n twice a day, as it appears to perform better this way apparently. Though Dr P says once a day "appears to work just fine"

This might interest you as well:

Use the spray. More economical and just plain easier to use as opposed to a lotion.

Be warned though: it is quite common for Folligen to sting after application for the first few weeks. THIS IS NORMAL. The stuff is potent and your scalp has to get used to it. the sting goes away in time.
