Peptides question

I am wondering if there is any similarities between copper peptides, and Palmitoyl peptides(oligopeptide and tetrapeptide-7)

The latter peptides are found in the facial cream I use and I am wondering if they would have a similar effect to copper peptides on hair growth?

I have no idea, but I know who you could ask. Go to www.skinbiology.com, get on the chat forum and ask Dr. Pickart. He is a skinbiologist and he's good about answering questions such as this one.

I'm not completely sure what a "palmitoyl peptide" is (kinda sounds like a bond between a fatty acid and a peptide), but I'm pretty sure that the SOD activity of a copper peptide (it's the SOD activity that helps hair) is produced by the unusual chemical bond between a transition-series metal like a copper atom, and a peptide (a protein segment). I doubt that a "palmitoyl peptide" would meet that definition, but you could try asking Dr. Pickart about it.
