Wondering about Copper Peptides in Folligen and Tricomin.

Why is it Peptides and not Proteins?

I think it's just a medical convention (or tradition) that very small proteins consisting of only two or three or four or so amino acids are referred to as "peptides", rather than proteins.

I'm not much of an scientist. Just trying to understand why peptides would be better then polypeptides or even proteins. Is it that, just one kind of amino acid, is used. If so, why wouldn't it be called "Copper Amino Acid" .. just a thought

polypeptides or proteins can not go under the skin because they are too big to transport
