My Hairloss:
I am 35 years old. I started losing my hair 8 years ago, it was thinning at the temples and hairline. In the first years I used toppik to improve the appearance but 3 years late it became noticeable. So I stopped using that and decided to read online about shampoos and other hair products that could stop hair loss. That didnt help much so I went to a hair loss specialist and he recommended finasteride or rogaine. I took finasteride for the last 2 years but my temples and hairline was gradually thinning, with no major improvement.

Decision to take a hair transplant surgery:
So I started getting ideas about having a hair transplant to restore my then empty hairline and frontal hair. I was already looking 10 years older and it affected my esteem in a big way. I was scared of the whole hair transplant surgery idea but reading forums and seeing that so many people have done it before, I decided to follow through. I planned for a hair transplant mid last year. I did my research all over, in Europe but it seemed expensive all over the EU zone. Good surgeons going for over 5€ per graft. I couldn't afford that. Researching on other cheaper alternatives, I discovered Turkey is pretty good/ popular in this field too. So I looked over the forums and websites for some of the good, expert hair transplant surgeons in Turkey. I stumbled upon a few good and bad names here and there. I contacted a few doctors. Some of the good clinics were late in answering their emails and calls and others could not answer eloquently.

Hair Transplant with Dr. Civas in Ankara Turkey:
The only clinic that gave me all the satisfaction I needed in terms of timeliness, concern and knowledge was Civas hair transplant in Ankara Turkey. The foreign patient facilitator constantly answered all my questions in the most honest way possible. She even organized a call with Dr Civas to make me feel more confident. So after many emails and calls I decided to take the surgery appointment there in June last year. I was very happy with everything they did since I arrived. The pick up from the airport was smooth; the hotel I was booked in was very cozy and decent. The consultation with Dr Civas went well. He seems to understand patients so well, step by step he explained to me what to expect, designed my hairline, and calculated the graft numbers and the resulting density. We had a lengthy discussion as he answered all my questions. He made me feel comfortable about it. The next day I came for the surgery. It was completely painless even with the initial needles of anesthesia. I spent about 9 hours in the surgery room, mostly on and off sleep. Everything went well with about 3600 grafts, transplanted by FUE technique. Dr. Civas did most parts of the surgery but he was assisted by 3 technicians who came in to help with extraction and transplantation.

Healing:
The healing went well. By 10 days all crusts were gone and the donor was healed. The first 2 months were discouraging because I lost almost all my frontal hair, the redness of my scalp was rather obvious gradually disappearing but D. Civas had explained to me to expect that. 2.5 months later my new hair started to come up. It was all so gradual as month after month, it was getting denser and better. Its now about 7 months after the surgery and I am so pleased with my results. I can’t wait to show them off. I am also using minoxidil spray.

Is there any Toppik or concealer being used in the after photos?

You still have "high sides" which would be worth fighting to keep, with meds like Finasteride or Dutasteride.

Wow, really great results here. I'm shocked at the price too (only 1.5 Euro/graft!). Hopefully my results are on par with what you got, though I had quite a few more grafts

Cmon guys you believe he can go from nw7 to Norwood 2 with 3,5k grafts? cmon...

no way no way this is the same person before and after 3,5k grafts.

we would be cured if it worked like that

he would need 8k to 10k grafts to have such result.

the whole post looks like PR, just picked most common things written about hair transplants

Then he has 5 tons of topic on it. This is not 3,5 grafts on sly bald head, you know the best how it looks like. If this was true everybody would be practically cured with 3,5k grafts. Best surgeons can do that with 10k.

I do believe that toppik or more grafts were used.

For **** sake, they used 2000-2500 grafts for a NW2... let alone 2500-3000 on an NW3
