Hi guys. I have an anxiety disorder which is making recovering from hairloss a bit tougher... if you guys could help answer some of my questions I would really appreciate it....

1) I started finasteride a few days ago (have been on Min for a few months) and noticed a lot of small hairs pop up on my temple. Is there a chance that they grow?

2) Yesterday I applied dermmatch and applied it a bit too hard, so a lot of these new hairs got removed. Have I caused any lasting damage? When will they come back, if ever?

3) After 3 months on min I pretty much had my old head of hair and hairline back. Then for a few weeks it got a bit worse, and so now I've started finasteride. Is it likely that I can go back to the old head of hair I had about a month or two ago (2 months into Min) now that I'm on finasteride?

Thanks guys. This forum is honestly a life saver

Photos please? You could have an early finasteride shed. Otherwise time will tell dude.

I'll post photos in a bit. Too reiterate though, I lost hair from my peak in January and THEN started finasteride just a few days ago. Since I started finasteride, I've only seen an increase in hair... I'm just wondering if it's possible that I can get back to where I was in January. Or did you mean it could've been a Min shed?

I shaved my head ofc, but you can see the recession better.

They aren't really new hairs you are imagining things, a few days nothing can happen. Anything that happens prior to like 2 months should be dismissed as your imagination besides initial shed. Yes you can recover a year+ of hairloss if you start finasteride

Even up front?

Finasteride works for up front, probably not as well as the crown due to increased sensitivity to DHT but there are plenty of people here who have regrown some hair line on finasteride. I am too lazy to search for studies on hair line vs. crown I am not even sure if there is one
