Multivitamins: A, B complex
Regen (Rs 700 for 100ml)
Rogaine (Rs 130 for 100ml)
Propecia (Rs 140/10 pills strip)
Dutasteride (Rs 139/10 pills strip)
I was also suffering from excessive hair loss. My hair loss was so severe that i used to be in tens or depressive mood as I believe baldness or less hairs is fine for a person with muscle-face (healthy or over weight) but, it looks weird for under weight guy with skinny face.
It started off after the treatment of Pneumonia. My family physician held responsible the pneumonia treatment and prescribed me multivitamins of vitamin A and B complex. It did not work.
It was so frustrating that i used to wash hair once in a week. While washing i could see more than 100-150 hairs and same quantity while combing. Hairs were strewed here and there around my bed and at office desk. Since i stopped shampooing i developed dandruff. Just one light nail stroke used to fill my nail with dandruff.
Finally i decided to have it treated by specialist.
I went to Dr Batra's Clinic in Borivali, Bombay (India). They gave me some bunch of homeopathy medicines and minoxidil solutions. I continued treatment for a year and nothing yielded, absolute zero result (they took away Rs 8000 at once for a year).
I gave up on regaining hair.
While working on a software project for a pharmaceutical company I happened to know about propecia and dustateride. I started propecia it did work yet, not as good as compare to its price. I decided to go with dutasteride as it is believed to yield more, faster result than propecia. It is working like miracle. I am using it for three months. I can see many new hairs growing. I loose only 7-10 hairs while wash.
Of course dutasteride also showing its side effects i.e decrease in sexual desire. But i think it is for my benefit. Earlier I used to be overwhelm with sexual feelings. Even glimpse of woman's inner wear seen at market or any other place used to disturb me and result of that i used to disturb my girlfriend ;-) (I am honest here and leveraging anonymity). Now i feel cool and calm. I want to admit that its just decrease in sexual feelings not impotence. I get erection and enjoy good time with my girl friend. What i have learned is the side effect is not permanent. I will come to my original status in six months after i stop taking it.
My current efforts:
Since new hairs are very thin and tiny i have included boiled-beans, chick-peas, peas and dates in diet. I suppose this will strengthen growth.

Before starting treatment at Batra they had captured couple of images of my scalp. I will try to collect from them and post them here with current update.
