Hey all been on propecia a little over 4 months now along with nizoral, dermarolling and topical spironolactone but my hair has continued to thin/recede at an alarming rate and i am now noticibly balding which really wasnt the case at all before. I know its still early days but i haven't seen even so much of a glimmer of hope. Many of my hairs at the temples are blonde or transparent at the root, what does this mean? ( i have dark hair )

4 months ago I was NW2 now i am probably a NW3, but once the thin hairs go i will be NW3 without a doubt :(
( ive never noticed a shed, i may even shed less hair but the thinning has increased dramatically )

Any advice? How long does it normally take for hairloss to just stop with propecia usage?
I've seen some people get brilliant regrowth at this point and all thats happened to me is I jumped up a norwood in just a few months...

Advice please guys :(

if you have really aggressive loss, especially at a young age, finasteride won't really do sh*t. sometimes you just don't respond. can you show us some pics so we can give a second opinion? sometimes we hyper criticize our own hair and see things that aren't there.

The thing is, i didn't have aggressive loss.. i did start losing my hair really young ( 14 )
But it took 5 years to reach NW2. 4 months on propecia and my temples are almost completely gone. I provided pics on a much earlier thread i posted worried it was making my hair loss worse and its safe to say it has receded even further. Ill upload a close to baseline pic ( 3 weeks in ) and one i will take shortly. Its definitely not in my head because my hairline is now much worse off.

You shouldn't need to ask which one is baseline as it is very obvious at the temples in my new pics which show them almost gone :(

What should I do?
I've found that on what remains of my temples are white or transparent hairs that are very thin.. was definitely never the case before propecia.. worst part is my hair is actually longer in the new pics... FML.

These pictures are garbage. You need to show your hairline from the front. Also many people take over 6 months to see results. 4 months is not long enough to determine whether it is working or not.

Trust me its worse. I do agree 4 months is not long enough but at the least you would think my hair would not of gotten that much worse if at all in 4 months? I started this hoping to maintain now i would of been satisfied with the hair i had when i started..

i hope things turn around soon, its not like im shedding or anything, the hair strands go from thick to fine and transparent at the root in the areas i am thinning. Is that still shedding??
