I'm 4 months in to my 5% minoxidil and 5% spironolactone regimen once at night. I can't believe. My hair has held up well and the shedding has stopped. I haven't had hair in my temples since i was 17 (I'm 21). now there are little hairs growing all in my temples. If they grew out i would have my old hairline back. My question is... will these hairs grow out? I think i would die if they did.

Sounds like its going well for you. Have you tried any DHT inhibitors such as Dutasteride or Finasteride? I'm currently trying to formulate a regime and wondering if I should go down that road or try something similar to your regime.

I was on finasteride for about 2 years. I quit earlier this year because i felt it had lost it's effectiveness. My hair looks better now than when I was on finasteride. I definitely do recommend using it though, it helped me out for a long time.

minoxidil and spironolactone help to grow back and thicken hair. It's actually pretty ridiculous how good minoxidil is. The stuff is definitely not underrated.

I am getting a new camera within the next month so I will eventually post pics. I hope I can find my old pics from when I started treatments.

It’s hard to tell whether they’ll grow or not.

In some people the initial hair may be like peach fuzz, colorless and soft. This peach fuzz phase is actually a sign that the product is working.

After this first phase, you may notice newer hairs growing which are of the same color and thickness as the rest of your hair.

But some people who take minoxidil “onlyâ€￾ grow hair that is thin and wispy.

Many people see a decrease in shedding due to minoxidil use, but maybe that perception is the result of fewer hairs being lost or more hairs being produced.
