Out of curiosity, is it normal to lose hair from the back and the sides somewhat equal in frequency to that of hair located ontop of your head?

When I run my hands through the back or even sides of my head I seem find two, three sometimes four hairs between my fingers.

Whilst I have noticed that the loss from the sides and especially back has increased, density has remained the same.

However desinsity ontop of my head has decreased....

What are your experiences and thoughts on this? Is it commonality that once the cycle of male pattern baldness kicks in that even your hair at the lower back and sides become susceptible/sensitive to DHT?

The difference is the hair from your male pattern baldness areas grows back thinner each time, while the sides remain the same thickness.

still doesnt explain why i still shed hair from the sides and back more than ever in my life to the point where the density of the sides and back still remain the same. Its odd..

I believe that to be untrue...the sides and back of my hair are noticeably thicker since starting finasteride.

i second that becuase i too lose alot from the sides and back and when i scratch the sides and back, i find both really thin to thin to thick hairs that fall out. so its getting thinner and thinner. and to the original poster, i don't really know why both of us shedd hairs there but what i do know is that everytime you shed hairs from that location, your hair will grow back thinner unless your on meds.

Eyebrows appear to be in tact..

However I do lose alot of eyebrow lashes

I have had a thyroid test a while ago which was reported as being normal. But I find these doctors ability to diagnose properly questionable.
