Oral minoxidil 5mg once a day or 2.5mg twice?

What's better on your opinion/experience (effect and side effect wise), taking 5mg of oral minoxidil once a day or 2.5mg twice a day?

i don't think it is likely to matter.

For the purposes of hair growth it likely doesn’t matter. The short half life of minoxidil means it can be dosed up to 3x/day, but this would be more purposeful for the treatment of hypertension. I think in those who may experience orthostatic lightheadedness from the anti-hypertensive effect of minoxidil it may be be helpful to break up dosing into twice a day so that you still get the same cumulative dose while hopefully mitigating sides.
