hello all,
would like to ask if its okay to still shed miniaturized hair on oral minoxidil 4 months in
on finasteride for 4 years almost and although i still shed the mini hair count was meaningless. now on minoxidil they really show.

is it a sign this is working, how long till i see results ?

hi, how are you?, I'm 47 and I have been on dutasteride 0.5mg for several years, only with dutasteride the hair thinned slowly over the years, in the last year I added oral minoxidil 5mg. When I started, during the 3rd and 4th month, he lost a lot of hair, 80 or 90 hairs when massaging the scalp after showering. From month 4 and 5 the fall stopped and much thicker hair began to emerge. I have slightly recovered my temples.
After one year and two months, the hair is not as strong as at the beginning but I am very happy with the results.

I hope they will last for many years while a definitive solution appears.

Hi mate, could you give an update please, now that its been a couple years?

I'm exactly the same situation, had my regimen down packed . Taking finasteride and topical minoxidil for years . about 3 months ago I switched from topical to oral minoxidil 5mg daily. I've been shedding quite a bit in the last week or so. Do you recommend to stick with it and shedding will stop eventually?
