Hi guys. I think ive got a hunch but i was wondering whether you guys thought i was experiencing male pattern baldness or a maturing hairline and whether you recommended waiting or trying to start treatment. My hairlines been on the move over the past 3 years but im not really experiencing that much shedding. If i run my hand through my hair about five times i might get one or two hairs falling out which i think is normal. My mums dad had a similar hairline when he was sixty and my other grandad also had a good head of hair when he died. My dad and uncle both went bald but not until their late thirties.
Also does anyone have advice on how to go about getting propecia in the UK and how much it will cost?? It really sucks that this is happening at the only age where i dont have a lot of income.

Any words of encouragment would also be very helpful. Im trying to embrace it and be positive as much as i can, but being 19 it is difficult to deal with sometimes. I have a fairly unhealthy relationship with my hairloss after having to go through school with teenage boys mocking it every five minutes.

Sorry for the essay

You should start finasteride or you will probably lose more hair almost certainly

So from what you are saying it sounds like there is a 50% chance you will have your Granda's hair line which is about where you are at now correct? Otherwise you will lose your hair in your late 30's. Yet you seem hell bent to start propecia right away? I would maybe wait it out a little longer till there is some more conviction. I've seen posts of men taking propecia for 10 years and then quit only to find out they weren't even losing their hair in the first place. Propecia is a great drug but I'd rather only see the men that are actually losing their hair use it.
