Hello guys,
So here I am asking about your opinion on my hair loss, which by this point I'm certain is happening.
Some info:
My father had a full head of hair until his 40s. He is 52 now and is Norwood 2.5 with a full crown and a good quality of hair, so that no one would think he is balding.
My paternal grandfather was NW1 until 70 years old. Now he is 85, he has balded in the crown but with a very nice straight hairline still.
My maternal grandfather (I guess the problem of course) was NW3 by 40. Now he is 70 and he must be NW6+. His son (my uncle) balded to a NW4-5 between age 25-35.
My older brother has been diffuse thinning since early 20s. I remember him always mentioning how he would find hair on his pillow. Right now I can't judge him with the Norwood scale but his hair looks pretty thin and he is 27. I can also say that he had worse hair than me when he was my age.
I am 25 years old, I first noticed receding on my right temple when I was 21. The left temple has been receded since I can remember from highschool and I didn't notice the transition. So right now, I think the 2 temples look symmetrically receded. I also notice some shedding in the shower (10-15 hair) in my hands when I rub my head and I also feel like my hair has thinned overall but I can't be 100% certain on that.
I attach pictures of me under bathroom light, with normal and wet hair, and my maternal grandfather when he was about 38. I don't think there's a need to put photos of my dad and his father since as I said they've had very good hair for most of their life.
Do you think I'm following the same pattern as my maternal grandpa? Could it be worse actually? Do you think the good genes from my dad could help in any way?
Thank you very much!
