Opinions on hairline and if there's a cause for concern

Hello all,

I wanted to post a picture of my hairline to get an opinion/s if I should look into anything treatment wise.
I've noticed a slight change since my late teens (I am 24 now) and have been losing quite a bit of hair when I shower lately (around 75 to 100 I would say)

Anyways feedback would be helpful. Thank you.

Losing 75 to 100 hairs in the shower isn't good (Should be like 20 max if you skipped a day of showering). You're like a Norwood 2 hairline could stay like that for years or could keep getting worse. How does your crown look? If you're looking to start a treatment, you know the drill. I would just use Finasteride as your hair loss is minor.

EDIT: I just lurked you're other threads. Your crown is thinning a little bit but not too bad. Finasteride would help you thicken it and keep your hairline where it is.

Yeah you can see some recession and thinning at the front. What's your family history like? Yeah I'd hop on finasteride.

i definitely would be fine starting finasteride but I need a prescription and my doctor is oblivious lol. She won't give me any.

And yeah my crown is also changing a bit though I've always had that cowlick/swirl thing going on. I have been losing a lot in the shower which is concerning to me. They say you should lose 50-100 a day though so again, don't know if my issue is worth looking at.

Dad's side isnt good but my mom's side was solid.

I would go to another doctor. Your cowlick is a little too wide for it to be "normal." Most people do lose 50-100 hairs a day, so losing that alone in the shower should be a concern. Before I started treatments I used to lose 50-60 hairs in the shower easy. But since I started finasteride, I lose like 10 on a bad day, most of the time around 5-6.

I definitely think going to another doctor would help me, yes. I'd definitely be open to starting finasteride however everytime I mention my hair to my doctor she says it's fine and I have nothing to worry about.

If I got a prescription for it I would feel a lot better. I've researched it all and it sounds like it could help.

that is a mature hairline, there is no miniaturization on the hairline so its just maturing, you shouldn't worry about it now just keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse

Thanks appreciate this. Ya thats why i wanted opinions because I wasn't sure if my hairline change was just due to me getting older and my mom's brother had a similar hairline when he was my age and older.

Bro your sh!t has definitely gone back. It's curved really hard towards the top.

I buzzed my sht to see my line and I noticed my corners are thin. Feels bad man. Especially because I have a friend with a hairline similar to yours, maybe a bit worse and some chick said "you're 22 and going bald already? Gross". The dude is shattered now and it's the reason I'm on this site now. b****s be cruel.
