From what i know, Osteoscreens Osh 101 PS1 is the only hope we have for the next 5 yrs if its ever even released. I do realize we dont know much of anything about the product.

Also maybe that product thats a topical thats supposed to work like minoxidil, and inhibit dht through the scalp like propecia or avodart.
I dont remember what its called but i believe its in the FDA trials right now.

I can't see any medical agent bringing back a full head of hair.

I would imagine what we should most look forward to in 5 years is a more advanced method of transplanting hair.

I agree with Red. If inflammation has caused fibrosis around the follicles, then even if you had an unlimitied supply of donor follicles, you couldn´t have as dense hair as you had before male pattern baldness.

For Alopecia there have been great results with Elias's products.

For male patttern hairloss - you should be able to hold back hairloss and encourage some regrowth.

There is a saying in the project management world for developing progress timelines and benchmarks. Double it and add 50%. So in 15 years time we may be lucky to see a cure.

In the future I can see the possiblility of treatments similar to finasteride and minoxidil. They may be better versions of what we have but what I am looking forward to is hair cloning and gene-therapy. Gene-therapy has the potential to remove all diseases and faults from the human race...I hope. On the flip side I can see us living in a world like the movie "Gattaca" which is a scary thought.

That does not sound correct.

My understanding about the density of hair transplants is that it has nothing to do with fibrosis. Rather, surgical implantion of hair simply cannot be done as closely packed as hair grows naturally. Nesta is simply speculating and not labeling his speculations as such. Surgical instruments are certainly capable of punching through the fibrosis to implant a follicle, and that transplanted hair can grow. So fibrosis has nothing to do with the density of transplanted follicles.
