One Theory I've Been Hearing A Lot That Doesn't Have Any Scentific Proof For It

So I don't know exactly what people base this theory on, but it's something I've been hearing more than a couple of times.
The theory is that white/grey hair is less likely to fall off. And that if you are greying early you will probably not lose a lot of hair.

Now I don't believe this, but I'm just curious to why so many people seem to believe this and what they base it on?

Never heard of it, just heard that grey hair are growing faster and i can relate to that since i noticed it on my own scalp, but Androgenetic Alopecia will beat those grey hair anyway

I haven't seen any NW5 that is also gray at 25-30 of age but I have seen many fullheads that were full gray at that age.

Early graying and early MBP are two separate and distinct genetic flaws, and i'm a living proof since i got both, i just win the lottery two times
You will find some users pics in this forum to debunk your theory aswell

Of course grey or white hair can die. The theory was not that they are 100% resistant to male pattern baldness, but that they tend or survive "better" or not fall off to the same degree.

I don't think so dude, might be just a coincidence, and as you said, we don't have any scientific proof to argue with.Yeah they will most likely be more resistant for people who don't suffer from Androgenetic Alopecia and only age related hair loss, but those with agressive hair loss pattern...

Don't know if his brother had gray hair before losing it

My dad is 55 with ZERO gray hair (grey beard though) and went slick Norwood at like 35. My grandpa on dads side also a slick NW5 at around that age and still had mostly brown hair until 70.

My dad got white hair early so do I. But his 65 with a somewhat thinner nw3. His brother was a Norwood 4-5 with mostly brown hair. Maybe coincidense...or maybe something to it.
