I saw that on the news yesterday night as well about the stem cell research and hair regeneration.
They also said that it is 10 years away from human trials...but at least there is some sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
Let's hope this works out for the future hairloss generation. The closest thing right now is hair mulitiplication/"cloning"

minoxidil
actually form alot of people minoxidil 1-2 years after that your using it to maintain the hair you grew... don't know where 2-5 years came from and 5 years on proscar/propecia yes,but no way is it gonna hold hair for 10 years,i guess we have to face is there is NOTHING down the pipeline not even a topical growth stimulant.. which is sad.. not a cream solution nothing.. seems like hair is the hardest thing to get back lol!

It´s just impossible to predict how long this stuff will take - what you could do is put up pros and cons and see where it might land.
Pros.
-ALOT of money to be made
-No complex organs no endokrin functions
-No nerve dependance (it grew when the mouse got it)
-Alot of scientists are getting into it
Cons.
-Stem cell is a potential cancercell - nuff said
