Olive Oil For Hair Is It Good Or Not?

Hello everyone so couple days ago i applied some olive oil on my hair becouse i didint have any styling gel and i noticed some changes after two days when i washed my hair with cold water my hair use to be thinner and darker so after i wahshed my hair my hair become lighter and shiny also stronger is it good to use olive oil regularly? Thanks for help
