Abstract :

"Fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF-10), also referred to as keratinocyte growth factor 2 (KGF-2), is a 24 kDa member of the fibroblast growth factor family and is composed of 208 amino acids [1]. Recombinant human FGF-10 (rhFGF-10) can enhance the proliferation of epidermal cells, and thereby promote the healing of injured skin [2]. It is frequently used to treat patients with mechanical injuries, burns and scalds of the skin, and it reduces scarring after healing [3]. Meanwhile, FGF-10 is necessary for hair growth, and may induce hair growth through activation of fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 [4], and also activation of the β-catenin and sonic hedgehog signaling pathways [5]."
