You know how you see plenty of old men with thin grey hair but they are not completely bald ? Why is it that their hair is thin but they don't have the classic horseshoe shaped pattern ?


Is the dreaded horseshoe shape bald pattern always the end result of male pattern baldness ???

you would think so, but some people will loose their hair and then stop for no apparent reason. Not everyone is destined to receive the horseshoe of death, known as male pattern baldness.

As far as I know, when you get old you produce less testosterone than when you are young.

This said, you produce less DHT when you are old, meaning those guys started to lose their hair at 20, but fighting against it, they were probably able to mantain some hair even when they reached 40. :!:

I "think" that if you started balding at 20, but you have not lost all your hair when you reach 40, you will probably never get completely bald. For a lot of men, the most aggressive period in terms of male pattern baldness is between 20 and 40.

But there are exceptions, for example some men start losing hair when they are 40.
