I tried the shaved look, it's not for me. I did have an appointment to see a derm in November to ask for propecia but they pushed it back to December now. Should I wait until then or should I buy it online?

Buy the online thing and see whether you react well to the drug....For me generic hair loss drugs save a lot of money that I dont ever have to get a Doctor's prescription anymore.

You can buy the real deal[propecia] from December if you are not comfortable with generics.

I was just a little unsure as to whether they would want to order a hormone test before prescribing it to me?

No they wouldn't but you can get one done prior to starting finasteride which will come in handy later on if you want to compare your hormonal levels to the baseline.
