Just want to check in. I am new to the site and I must say I love it. I know you guys are feeling and going thru exactly what I am. I just got my prescription of Propecia and bought a three month supply of Rogaine foam. I am hoping to regrew some of my hair atleast for the summer. I am 22 years old and hairloss has really changed my life. I used to be out going and love to go out all the time. Hairloss has really affected me in a negative way and I and going to try to beat it. It has pretty much put me in a mild depression and really lost alot of my self-confidence. I have put off my hairloss for a couple of years, and now it is time to do something about it. I think I am Norwood 2 or 3. I am going to take pics so I can track my results. Wish me luck.......

You are on the right track! If you want to maximize minoxidil results you can add retin-a to the combo. But finasteride+minoxidil alone are preety strong! Good luck!

How can I improve my results.

You say to use Retin-A with my rogaine foam? Is it proven to work better, and do I mix them together or apply them one after another. And someone also mentioned Nizarol Shampoo. Does this really work too? And the last question is, does my hair have to be completely dry before applying my rogaine foam, or can it be a little damp?

i dont know that much about using retin-a. i think you apply it a few minutes before you apply the minoxidil and you dont have to use it every night. i use spectral dnc which has it in it already- its pretty good.

yeah nizorals good. most people use it - have a look at the product reviews on this site. you should use it with a conditioner unless you only have really short hair or of course a bald head.

Dont give up, if you use the foam apply a cream or liquid retin-a a little after applying minoxidil. You can get premixed solutions but i am preety sure they are only available in liquid forms. Retin-a has been proved to increase minoxidil absorption while also being effective for hair regrowth on its own. My dermatologist says that it can really boost your results. Nizoral is also proven to be good. It is marketed under either Nizoral either Fungoral brand name and you wash your hair with it 2-4 times per week.

And remember that no matter which treatment you use, it's important to stay consistent with them.
