Yeo Stephen!

I couldn't help but notice that you made no reply to what I explained to you about how follicular growth factors (or growth inhibitors, for that matter) can OBVIOUSLY affect hair follicles when supplied to them externally. Can we all now assume that you've learned a valuable lesson about that?

As for your frantic silliness about minoxidil and VEGF...one would hope that you're aware that nobody really knows yet exactly how minoxidil encourages hair growth. VEGF is just a simple and obvious example of one specific factor which is known to be upregulated with minoxidil usage. There are probably others. I'll leave you to puzzle out the exact mechanism(s) involved between hairloss and minoxidil.

Huh??

You explained `nothing' Bryan! The very fact that Minoxidil increases VEGF and so effects `indirect' Hydraulic factors around follicles, supports `MY' theory!
I stated this in my last post, you are the one `dodging' the issue Bryan!

You always have to resort to these throw away remarks when you can't answer the points Bryan

"Frantic silliness"???? Your scraping the bottom of the barrel now in your quest for diversions from the issues

Let the record show that I said NOTHING AT ALL about minoxidil in that statement above, and yet you've been so embarrassed about my pinning you down on the issue of externally applied growth factors, you felt compelled to CHANGE THE SUBJECT in a pathetically obvious way. Sorry, Stephen, but you're not fooling anyone here.

This is just the usual diversionary tactics i have come to expect when you can't answer a scientific point Bryan! People can see your dodging for themselves 8)

`YOU' are the one who claimed in this thread that VEGF induced by minoxidil supported your `direct' theory. It is pretty clear that the vascular effects produced by VEGF `DO' support my theory, and i am still waiting for your elaboration on how increased VEGF supports your stance???

The problem i think you know you have Bryan, is that VEGF has `NO' direct effect on many of the cell types in hair follicles. We know the growth of `all' these cell types are effected in male pattern baldness, so VEGF just `CANNOT' be doing this `directly'!

So rather than address the point in a proper scientific debate, you resort to your usual sarcasm

People can judge your scientific integrity for themselves Bryan. Another example is that despite my request that you dont flame my theory on Farrels site, because i can't respond there, you have done it again!

"Oh my god! Another engineer weighing in with his peculiar answer to male pattern baldness! This David M. Hatch fellow should get together with Stephn Foote: they'd have a high ol' time comparing notes!

Thats a very cheap shot, and i am begining to lose respect for your opinions because of these tactics.
