OILY male pattern baldness

I'm 23 from Singapore. Started since i was 18, but i didnt know it. it was noticed by my friend, but it wasnt major until 21 years old.

The problem was that while i believe i have male pattern baldness, my scalp is very oily, i do not understand if the latter can cause / increase hairloss problems. I believe it does because the oil serum may clog the follicle to prevent the hair from growing. It causes my scalp maintenance problem because it gets greaser more often and affects the health of my scalp - dandruff. Further sometimes my hair which i picked up shows a dried oil portion "ball" at the end of it. My general oilness generally is face and neck, in case u need to understand how oily it is, a dermatologist once recommend me to wash my face at least 3 times a day.

And recently there has been problems of dandruff. I understand that there is a saying about shampooing your hair too often will result is dryness, i have tried very mild shampoos which doesnt really remove the oiliness and leave my scalp more itchy. I used Nizoral before but it was as itchy, i am sometimes confused by the amount of shampoo per wash, and brand i should use. My shampoo routine is once very morning, i tried twice a day (morning and night) but it means more loss. I had wanted to shampoo at night as it is more clean to go to bed to, but it means the next morning it will be greasy again, thus only the morning shampoo before i go out. This can accumulate more grease until the next day, not the best thing to hear but do i have a choice?

I have knowledge of the big 3. have been visiting a national center skin doctor for the past 2 years, sometimes it is like trying to convince my doctor that he should understand that my problem is not mild. He seems to generalised the problem based on scientific studies, 70-80 loss a day is considered to me alarming but he would say it is "normal". Any further explanation that the problem is obvious would be countered by his facts from "scientific studies". Anyway, after 2 years of expensive visits, with prescription of propecia (9 months), there is fluctuations of reduction as well as more loss (recently more so). sometimes i feel its the way i shampoo my hair. Please remember my scalp is very greasy.

---------------

The last visit prompted that there is no other way (other than minoxi and propecia already prescribed - didnt use minoxi )other than conducting a blood test, which shown good results, to determine any blood/thryoxine problems. I dont think there is any need to revisit any doctors considering all the past 2 years beside this doctor, the methods are the same. On a very good day (which doesnt happen nowadays recently) its less than 20, on average 30-40, bad day 60-80 leaves the scalp. Further, i wake up daily to find them on my pillow. The numbers tabulated are the one on the pillow + the shower drain.

You see, i am currently a student and have been on a difficult time with this issue, i have spent TONS of dollars (including not effective hair salon treatments) from my parents and on my education. Although this head issue causes me some downfeelings, i always tell myself whats the next step instead of being : ( but certainly when u see can see the scalp, it is certainly more difficult to feel strong. I have left a few hundred (initially which i had disciplinary saved to repay my education fees) to get results from the further treatment i will use in the future. Everytime i sit behind person with a full lush of hair i do envy hah.

I would like any feedback / recommendations and your own way when do you shampoo your hair/how many times + the problem of oiliness scalp if you face it, and other recommendations for me. (affordability) Thank you.

Shampooing twice a day shouldn't affect hairloss... if it makes your scalp feel better I would do so.
