After fearing the worst, that my finasteride usage (and eventual discontinuation) had done permanent damage to my body's proper biological functioning, I just got all my lab work back. I am pleased to say that I am not suffering from PFS. All my T levels were in normal range, with my Prolactin levels just slightly elevated above normal, but that is easily raised by stress, which I've had plenty of in recent weeks. T3, T4, free testosterone, FSH, LH, etc were all normal. Morning erections have made a welcomed return, no more watery semen, and I feel like a new man with how much energy I have. All in all it took about 6-7 weeks off the meds before my body founds its equilibrium.

Now in the cold light of day, I'm sad that I had to cease using it merely for the fact that my balding will only speed up in the near future, but I've accepted it. Most people have no problem taking 5AR inhibitors, but I am one of the unlucky few that cannot handle them. I'm still using keto and minoxidil regularly, but I know they'll eventually be stymied by my genetics willing my hair follicles to die off. They'll maybe buy me another year or two of maintenance, so I'll take it. I shaved my head, despite it being cold as f*ck in New Jersey right now, and I've gotten multiple compliments on it. Just wanted to thank everyone for their support, and if anyone that's thinking about quitting has any questions, I always answer my PMs. I'll still be active on the boards as well.

I'm glad you're back to full health, dude. I'm about 5 weeks off finasteride. I buzzed my head to a #2 and i'm coming to terms with my loss.

I'm wondering how long did you use finasteride for?
Is your male pattern baldness aggressive?

Used finasteride for a little over 7 months from mid April 2014 until late November 2014. My male pattern baldness seems to be slow moving. I remember my temples getting a bit receded when I was 19 (26 now) but I didn't think much of it because the rest of my hair was thick. I can now see my front forelock getting ever so slightly thinner, as well as some other parts of the top of my scalp in the 5a pattern that the docs described.
