Doesnt seem great based off what? Anything besides your gut instinct? Taking a drug carries risks. Your either willing to take the gamble or your not. Being bald is not a wrong choice it carries no risks.
Men taking the drug the last 20 years are still around and alive so it cant be that horrible. Ashton kutcher took dutasteride for 10 years. Its certainly safe for 10 years.
