Obtaining Proscar Prescription (many questions)

I have received a prescription for Propecia from my doctor. Because of price, I have been looking into less costly alternatives to Propecia. The idea of cutting Proscar into fractions is a popular idea on forums around the net. My question is: How will that go over with a doctor? If Proscar is officially declared as a medicine for enlargement of the prostate gland, I am not sure what I would say to my doctor. Would I ask him to prescribe me to Proscar because it's cheaper? What if he said I shouldn't take 5mg at once? Wouldn't I need to justify that it's safe by telling him I'd cut it? And if I told him I intend to cut it, wouldn't he be legally obligated not to give me the prescription? Should I assume that the average person is attaining Proscar from a website that doesn't require a prescription?

PS - I am aware of Cipla's Finpecia and Fincar. I'm just researching the possibilities for Proscar at this time. I've also read about the "risks" of even Merck's Propecia. I've already taken Propecia and am not worried about ED or side effects. Thank you.

theres no way around it. tell him u want it cos its cheaper and u intend to cut it, and most doctors will give it to u. some wont, nothing u can do.

if he says no, go to a different one, or get propecia.

most likely he already has patients doing the same thing. alot of men use finasteride.

I have an appointment and I intend to request Proscar. If that doesn't happen, I'll try another doctor. If that doesn't happen, I'll order the generic online. I'll let you know what happens each step of the way.

Rawtashk, I actually never heard of that until you mentioned it. I'm glad you did. I've been reading up on it. At this point, I'm just looking to use 1mg Finasteride doses (daily).

If you go through 4rx, then I'll give you a few money saving tips

1: Let's say you want 180 caps. Add the 90 caps to your cart instead. It will take you to a checkout page, but it will also give you a chance to upgrade your order to 180 pills for $20 cheaper

2: Use the promo code Q52EM37T during checkout for another 10% off. That's my promo code that I got for being a return customer, so feel free to pass it around :)

I went to a dermatologist the other day and got a prescription for Finasteride 5mg, which is the generic Proscar. It cost $7 at a pharmacy. Depends on the doctor, but mine didn't ask any questions.
