Since it's been possible for everyone to see them via the media, most presidents have had lots of hair. It's not really shocking.

i read somewhere, that rarely will a bald politician beat a fellow candidate with hair.since the 50s the only bald or balding presidents that i can think of were dwight eisenhowser and tricky dick nixon.

I think its something like for the past 7 times the guy with the most hair has won. But statisticly very few middle aged men will have a NW1.

None overweight, female or (up until Obama) black either. Its tough to reach the top in the USA.

TBH I think Obama was very lucky in that so many high profile celebrities supported him, many I feel were either black like Oprah, Jay Z ect and just supported him because they wanted to empower their own race and many white celebs because they they wanted to look liberal.
That and of course the fact that Sarah Palin was a total f*****g retard.

But yeah I do think that looking like that would have had a slightly detrimental effect on his campaign.
