Now that I'm 32, will things start to improve?

Once you reach your late 20's / 30s, testosterone levels steadily start to decline and this isn't necessarily a bad thing - especially if you suffer from male pattern baldness.

I'm 32 years old, I'm still a NW2 (thanks to finasteride) and my testosterone levels are normal but not spectacular.

Could this mean that my hair loss will become less agressive from now on?

Do you agree that the worst phase for male pattern baldness is the late teens/20s?

No, I have seen some aggressive hair loss in some people in their earlier 30's. Your really not safe until maybe over 60's. I would say most aggressive cases do start in the late teens to early 20's.

I don't think they will improve. Most men start losing their hair when they get older. If lower testosterone levels stopped hair loss then no man would lose his hair after his late 20s/30s.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the stats say that 1 in 3 men have a degree of balding in their 30s and that rate double at 60??? So, no one is safe from male pattern baldness :(

I also think the drop in testosterone isn't as steep as you think it is. It goes into decline but it's still good till 60 or so...

Its true that testosterone does drop off after 25 and will be significantly less after 40 but strangely enough most men will experience their hairloss after 25 so I think that it has more to do with the way the follicles act than the amount of Testosterone they are exposed to.

Just another puzzle in the scientific quandry of m.p.b.
