I have been taking 200 mg/day of oral spironolactone for quite a while, in conjunction with 1.25 mg finasteride (used to take 5 mg finasteride, till I noticed there was little, if any improvement in studies).
When I was on finasteride, I was starting to see great results. I sort of ran out of it and forgot about it- thinking spironolactone could do the job. But any of the progress I was seeing with the finasteride had vanished, despite taking 200 mg/day spironolactone. I'm wondering if topical spironolactone acts as a hair growth stimulator instead of a topical scalp anti-androgen?
I would go on minoxidil, but after paying thousands and thousands of dollars for electrolysis, i'm quite afraid of what might happen with minoxidil- I would have to be extra careful with it- and even then, temporal diffusion @ higher concentrations still might make face hair grow.....
I don't really know what this was- all journal with an observation relevant to anti-androgens & hair growth... Well, that's as close as I can describe it ;D!
Anything to add or relate would be awesome!
