Hi everyone this is my first post. I'm looking for some clarification. I just turned 50 and although my hair line receded from my younger years since about 25 it really has not gotten worse. Meaning the line has not changed but the infill area hair in the front and top middle and a spot in the upper part of the back have thinned. The more I read the more I'm confused as to what the heck is going on. It has been the same for approximately the last 8 years. Meaning those infill areas have thinned but have not gotten worse. I'm confused because if I was going bald at this point would it not have happened? I have not consulted a Dr. which I clearly should do for a definitive answer. In the meantime my confusion is this. In ALL of the area of my original receded hair line and thinned areas the hair is still there is just tiny and white. My hair is patchy salt and pepper and in some areas more salt than pepper..lol so the whiteness of these tiny hairs is not unusual. The areas below my receded line have absolutely no hair. Can anyone please comment on what is going on here? Im suspecting a vitamin deficiency or something like that but I'm at a loss. If you are bald do you have these tiny hairs? I have looked at the hair lost pattern charts but I don't seem to fit into on pattern. I would really appreciate some input and thank you in advance.I have a photo that shows these hairs and I will try to figure out how to add it after posting this.
