Not sure what is going on with my hair on finasteride.

So I have been taking 1 mg proscalpin (generic finasteride from India) for 9 months now. The first couple of months, I shed hair but it stopped and my hair actually became thicker to the point where I forgot I was thinning. However, maybe a month or two now, I have started to shed again and my hair is also starting to thin again. I'm not sure if it is seasonal shedding or if I am starting to lose hair again. I am not even sure if finasteride is losing its effectiveness. Has anyone have similar situations or any advice and can chime in?

Me, Im 1 year into finasteride. My shed also stopped for a whille with some thickening, then massive shed from July to November, now the shed has slowed down.

After the massive shed you had from July to November, did it thicken up again? Do you use minoxidil? I have heard of seasonal sheds and not sure if it applies here. I am a little reluctant to use minoxidil because of the horror stories I heard of facial bloating and wrinkles and I am not sure I want to risk that.
